Former NFL star Antonio Brown is facing legal trouble once again as an arrest warrant has been issued against him for failing to make child support payments.
Arrest warrant issued for Antonio Brown: Here’s everything we know
This is not the first time that the ex-football player has been entangled in legal issues related to unpaid child support.
As reported by TMZ, the arrest warrant for Brown was issued by a judge in Miami-Dade County on 9 August 2023.
According to court documents, Brown failed to make a child support payment of $15 000 to his ex-partner, Wiltrice Jackson.
This marks the second time this year alone that law enforcement has been ordered to take action against Brown due to unpaid child support.
Earlier this year, in April, a similar situation unfolded when a judge ordered authorities to arrest Brown for not making a child support payment of $30 000 to Jackson.
However, Brown managed to resolve the matter by making the payment before facing incarceration.
Brown and Jackson share a complex history.
Their relationship dates back to the early stages of Brown’s football career, and they have a daughter together.
However, their relationship has been marked by both positive and negative moments.
In 2019, Jackson accused Brown of physically shoving her during a domestic dispute. Despite the allegations, no charges were filed against Brown in connection to the incident.
As per court documents, Brown has the opportunity to have the arrest warrant revoked by fulfilling his child support obligation. In addition to the outstanding payment of $15 000, Brown is required to cover $5 000 in attorney fees.
Brown had not addressed the arrest warrant when this article was published.
