Let it be known, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes does not give two fi-ducks about what the public thinks of him. His Megacy is big enough to block out all the noise.
Fans think post-breakup AKA is a worrying sight
Nonetheless, one can’t overlook the bizarre behaviour the rapper has displayed recently.
AKA’s outbursts from this past weekend have raised concerns about the Touch My Blood star’s mental state and industry insiders are drumming up rumours that the 32-year-old may be battling with drug addiction.
A timeline of the rapper’s bizarre behaviour
His alleged sexual relationship with a 21-year-old college girl
Since AKA went public about his break-up with DJ Zinhle in January, the rapper has struggled to keep his shenanigans away from the view of the public.
Kairo’s dad first drew ire on social media when images of him being intimate with a college girl went viral.
His response to this was that his private life (which is far from this, by the way) was none of our business.
Rightly so, but the opinion still stood that maybe AKA had not taken his failed relationship with DJ Zinhle too well.
Social media would be treated with Instagram Live footage of AKA with his tongue deep down the 21-year-old’s throat on several occasions.
Supamega gets flak for rocking youthful twist braids
In the midst of all of this, his attempt at rocking box braids failed miserably. Sure, he was trying something different but tweeps saw this as a sign of an early midlife crisis.
The rapper was quick to revert back to his curly fringe, claiming that it was too much maintenance for the irritation he had to endure.
What about the failed crowd-surf in Rustenburg?
Aside from the failed crow-surf attempt at a recent gig in Rustenburg, the rumour mill was bubbling under about the 32-year-old’s behaviour.
His recent comments on taking advice from broke, uneducated people
However, it all got tipped over the edge when AKA randomly tweeted that broke people with no tangible assets should not be dishing out advice on how to be successful.
Logically, one could make the argument but it is a gross fallacy to assume that intellect is measured by a person’s material wealth.
Cassper Nyovest, a known critic of AKA, took the diplomatic approach in responding to the tweet, stating that “success and money don’t quantify wisdom.”
The Fela In Versace star replied by trolling Nyovest, claiming that he was too busy having sex with his 21-year-old to be entertaining the backlash from his since-deleted tweet.
Others, who were gobsmacked by the rapper’s nonchalant reaction to that outlandish statement questioned whether he was on drugs.
Even Sizwe Dhlomo made a comment about drugs being bad for you, a tweet that was ironically liked by Nyovest.
Meanwhile, DJ Zinhle is on a streak of wins
In other news, his baby momma, DJ Zinhle, has been on a streak of wins. The DJ recently took the podium with Kairo in her arms to accept the 2020 Forbes Woman’s Africa Entertainer award.
“Let’s be sure to remind ourselves & our children that you’re destined for greatness, live your life intentionally. Wake up with purpose and decide that every day is your day & don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. You’re the director of your life,” she said, in reaction to the acclaim she received online.
