Aerial footage captured by CBS showed the monumental architecture being built for two of the world’s biggest artists of this generation at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles (LA).

John Schreiber, the photojournalist who captured the set design build, revealed in a tweet that at first glance, he “thought this was a monster truck rally set up.”

Here is an early look at the set design:

Ye and Drizzy sent positive vibes rippling through the industry in November 2021 when the two celebrated a truce in their ‘Cold War’. This coming together, it was said, was for the greater good of the people.

A key role-player in the historic ‘ceasefire’ was J Prince, a longtime record business impresario and lifelong friend of Gangster Disciples (GD) leader Larry Hoover.

Using the global influence of Drake and West, Prince is said to be the real mastermind behind the benefit concert, which seeks to raise awareness about Hoover’s prolonged incarceration and mount pressure on the U.S federal justice department to release the 71-year-old who, in 1973, was sentenced to a maximum of 200 years for the murder of drug dealer William “Pooky” Young.

Further life sentences would be piled onto Hoover when in 1997, a 17-year-old investigation into conspiracy, extortion, money laundering, and running a continuing criminal enterprise in Chicago, was pinned on him as the ringleader of the GDs.

West and Drake’s benefit concert comes years after Hoover’s unrelenting attempts to get clemency. His son, Larry Hoover Jr can be heard detailing the impact his father’s incarceration has had on the family, on Jesus Lord part one and two.

At this time, no official statement has been released with information on how to watch the benefit concert if attendance is out of the question.

Reports have surfaced that IMAX theatres in the U.S will be airing the concert, with ticket sales already live on the cinema’s website. It’s uncertain, however, if the South African franchise will be listing the concert.

We will keep a close watch on developments and upload the live stream link below, if one becomes available. It’ll help to bookmark this article and return to it on Thursday 9 December 2021 to check for the stream.
