What happened to Carol Mlangeni?
Mlangeni, who is listed on Facebook as an entrepreneur In the event management industry, took to Facebook after months of inactivity to alert her followers that her estranged husband, Bongani or ‘Jim’, was trying to harm her.
In the first clip, a sniffling Mlangeni could seen filming two gentlemen, one of whom was the husband, trying to gain entry into the apartment complex she resides in with her three children.
The distressed mother then sent shockwaves across Facebook when she leaked CCTV footage that captured the moment she was viciously attacked by a male outside the complex, in full view of her children, who are aged five, eight and 12.
Mlangeni went on to claim, on multiple posts, that her estranged husband had attempted to take her life and when she’d reported the case to authorities, he was released to the public and despite getting a restraining order, the man allegedly violated it on three occasions.
“I want to know how do police let someone wo tried to kill me several times out and don’t convict him. They have videos and footage but he’s still able to do this to me,” she wrote.
According to Carol Mlangeni, the attempted murder case she opened against her estranged husband was related to an incident that occurred last week, where Jim allegedly strangled and left her in such a severe condition, that she had to go to hospital for treatment.
“His brother is a serial murderer and they are currently threatening my life right now . I will most probably not make it today but I want SA to know how I have been failed by our justice system,” she posted.
At this time, it is unclear what the source of the clash between the couple is, and at the time of publishing, Mlangeni’s condition was unknown.
