Gauteng authorities are in search of several suspects involved in a hijacking incident that took place in Kensington on Monday evening.

Details around the incident are still sketchy at this time. However, less than 12 hours since an unidentified man was accosted by three armed suspects at the driveway of a property on Nile Street, Kensington, CCTV footage of the nightmare encounter surfaced on the internet.
According to metadata found on the video, the Kensington hijacking and subsequent abduction took place at approximately 21:10 on Monday evening.
The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be established, was parked outside of a property, possibly waiting for the automatic security gates to open, when suddenly, a charcoal-to-black vehicle pulled up behind him.
Three men jumped out of the vehicle and removed the victim’s car keys from the ignition as he was attempting to reverse out of the trap.
In the video, one of the suspects was seen hauling the victim out of his white Ford Fiesta and shoving him into their vehicle after a brief struggle. Two of the hijackers got into their car with the victim, effectively escalating the incident into an abduction, while the third suspect pulled away in the victim’s vehicle.

Gauteng police have yet to issue a formal statement on the latest updates in the search for the unidentified man. It’s presumed he is still in the custody of his abductors.
