The robbery occurred at a shoe shop in Hillbrow CBD, where seven armed suspects stormed the premises, posing a grave threat to both staff and customers. In a remarkable turn of events, a courageous member of the public decided to take action.
This vigilant individual closely followed the armed suspects and managed to intercept a security officer, alerting them to the unfolding crisis. The security officer promptly relayed the situation to the control room and patrolling units, initiating a rapid response.
The pursuit of the suspects led them to Vannin Court, a notorious location in Hillbrow. During the confrontation, the suspects resorted to violence, opening fire.
Tragically, a female bystander and a member of the Bad Boyz’s security personnel were shot during the incident. In the chaos, the suspects dropped four bags, the contents of which remain undisclosed at this time.
In their desperate bid to evade capture, the armed suspects sought refuge in a hijacked building adjacent to Joubert Park.
