Home security footage that surfaced online will play a crucial role in tracking down the suspects behind the brazen attack. According to the CCTV metadata, the incident occurred on Saturday, 23 March 2024, at approximately 16:14.
Three men were caught on camera enjoying a casual stroll along a quiet street when, suddenly, an oncoming chrome-black hatchback veered toward them at a speed bump.
Before the victims realised the imminent danger, several shots were fired from the vehicle, striking two of the three men, one of whom died instantly.
The second victim made it as far as a nearby black Volkswagen Polo that was parked at the residence where the CCTV cameras were installed before he toppled over to his death.
Miraculously, the third victim, who was wedged between his two mates, survived the incident unscathed.
While the security camera may prove vital adding weight to the double murder investigation, the footage was too grainy to make out the vehicle model and registration number.
It’s presumed the suspects behind the drive-by shooting were still at large when this article was published.
