Police units in Limpopo and the Western Cape have ramped up their respective searches for these missing children.
Missing children: Khayelitsha police are looking for these boys
In Khayelitsha, Cape Town, SAPS’ family and child safety unit has been tracking the movements of two seven-year-old boys who went missing on Thursday 15 October 2020.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut, Miyolo Gwinita and Linathi Ntshonga were last seen playing together near their homes in the Cape Flats township.
“They were reported missing by their parents. At this stage it is still unclear what they were wearing at the time of their disappearance,” Col. Traut noted in a statement.

Limpopo missing girls raise worries
In an unrelated case, Limpopo’s FCS unit launched a province-wide search operation following the disappearance of two 13-year-old girls.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi, the striking similarities in the girls disappearance has raised grave worries about the circumstances that may have befallen them.
Both girls are Grade 7 pupils from Kayanene Primary School and reside in the same village. They both left their homes at approximately 19:00, without informing anyone of where they were headed.
At this time, the police’s efforts in tracking down their movements have yielded no solid and reliable leads.
Zinhle Makhubela was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, a yellow jacket and pink sandals. The other girl, Mojaji Vutomi Nhlana was dressed in a brown t-shirt and green trouser pants.
“Police conducted search operations at their friends and relatives without any success,” Nhlana noted in a statement.
