During a captivating live show at Crocodile Creek, nestled in the serene surroundings of Greylands, KZN, an unexpected and shocking incident occurred.
A handler, engaged in his routine performance with the crocodiles, faced a terrifying moment when one of the reptiles aggressively attacked him.
According to reports from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the attack took place on Sunday, 17 March 2024, at approximately 14:48.
A visitor at the Reptile Park, who witnessed the horrifying scene, managed to capture the incident on video.
This footage shows the handler struggling to free himself from the jaws of the crocodile. Despite the life-threatening situation, the handler exhibited remarkable composure and determination, ultimately managing to escape the enclosure.
The physical toll was severe, however, as he sustained a serious injury to his leg and was quickly taken to a medical facility for treatment.
