The marathon, affectionately known as “The People’s Race,” is slated to celebrate its rich heritage on Sunday.
This event, deeply embedded in the nation’s heart, will see participants from diverse backgrounds converging to run past several historical landmarks in Soweto.
Notable sights along the route include the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and the Hector Pieterson Memorial, which stand as silent testaments to the country’s past.
