2. Trusted SLK
Having released her breakout single Uyathetha alongside the talented Tweezy, this Cape Town queen has a bright career ahead of her. This talented rapper has accomplished a lot in such little time after coming out on top in the Sportscene Put Me On competition and becoming an ambassador for Puma. Keep an eye out for what more this talent has to offer in the near future.
3. Ipeleng
This talented singer really impressed in the year of 2020 after the release of her project Unsolicited which had her hit single Commited feature on Spotify’s Aux playlist. This young talented singer is truly a hidden gem and there will surely be more for her to offer to the music scene.
4. Tembi Powers
Tembi Powers lyrical ability is a delight to listen to. Having worked with the popular rapper Flvme on the track Alright, this rapper could follow the same path Shane Eagle once took. His visual production is top tier with Powers gifting us some of the most beautiful music videos.
5. Fueogoe CPT
This creative mind swung a home run last year with the release of his trap banger You Know What It Is and went even further releasing his summer jam titled Wild Side that displayed his singing ability. This young Capetonian really is on the grind and the future looks bright for a hardworking talent like him.
6. Gemma Fassie
The talented vocalist recently signed to Retro Records and has been impressing especially after the latest release of her single titled I’m Fine. This singer has big shoes to fill especially with her relation to legendary singer Brenda Fassie but she is definitely on her way to success.
7. Trapsta AC
Trap music has a bright prospect on their hands, with this talented young trapper showcasing the hardest beats and heavy hitting bangers. This Wynberg native recently released his track For Sure with the video sitting around 12K views on YouTube which proves he’s definitely one to look out for.
8. A.D.E SHANGO
This young artist shows incredible talent with his versality, having the ability to hop on a trap beat and really dominate, however where his strong foot really suits him is his ability to grace the Afropop genre especially on his song Thirst where he displays his beautiful vocals on the summer beat.
9. Dre Autumn
Originally from Durban but now representing Cape Town, Dre recently signed to Retro Records alongside Gemma Fassie and his potential rise to the top of the rap game could really be a possibility. After his single Workin released in 2020, this young MC has really picked up momentum and he could possibly be the next hip hop giant to come out of Cape Town.
10. SIPHO THE GIFT
Sipho lives by his name as he truly is a gift to music listeners. This young artist creates some of the most pleasing music and he’s so close to breaking into the mainstream music scene.
