A statement from Emer-G-Med clarified that their paramedics were attending to the structural fire on Sea Cow Lake Road.

“Emer-G-Med paramedics are currently in attendance of a structural fire Sea Cow Lake Road. The cause of the blaze is unknown. No injuries have been reported. Ethekwini Fire and Rescue services are in attendance,” the statement read.
This latest fire incident adds to the list of infernos that have plagued the region in recent years.
Notably, in 2019, a massive fire engulfed a truck tyre rim factory in the town. The blaze, which broke out near the north of Durban, quickly swept through the facility, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Despite the efforts of the fire crews, it took almost two hours to contain the inferno.
“The fire has caused a lot of damage in the unit where it started. Everything in there was damaged,” eThekwini Fire Department Division Commander Bheki Hadebe stated at the time.
