The Midlands EMS Howick crews, promptly dispatched to the scene, discovered three individuals who had suffered critical injuries in the accident.

Easter traffic expected to surge on these routes this weekend
The Easter period in South Africa is notorious for a spike in traffic volume and accidents, attributed to the convergence of school holidays, religious pilgrimages, and the general exodus of city dwellers seeking a respite in different locales.
This seasonal phenomenon turns major highways into bustling arteries of travel, with the N1, N2, N3, and N4 routes experiencing a substantial increase in vehicular movement.
With the anticipated increase in holiday traffic, authorities and safety advocates stress the importance of careful planning and adherence to safety measures.
Recommendations include checking vehicle roadworthiness, compliance with speed limits, and the use of seat belts. Avoiding travel at night, when conditions are more conducive to accidents, is also advised to mitigate risks.
