How to watch 2022 FIFA World Cup on ‘SABC Plus’
Every 2022 FIFA World Cup fixture will be broadcast live on DStv’s SuperSport channels. South African viewers without a paid subscription can still enjoy access to live World Cup games on the public broadcaster’s recently launched streaming service, SABC Plus.
The free-to-watch streaming service will broadcast live games on SABC Sport, one of five channels available on the streaming platform.
For owners of Hisense smart TVs and mobile devices, the app will be available on home screens. Alternatively, users can sign up for the public broadcaster’s streaming platform using their mobile number and easily tune into the tournament for free.
SABC Plus‘ FIFA World Cup coverage will kick off at 16:00 on Sunday, 20 November 2022, with the opening ceremony. From 17:00, an expert panel consisting of local pundits will preview the Qatar vs Ecuador fixture ahead of kick-off at 18:00.
