Iconic British supermodel Naomi Campbell left the internet buzzing with speculation when she appeared in Vogue‘s March cover holding her baby.
Naomi Campbell claims ‘mystery’ daughter was not adopted
The 51-year-old sent shockwaves in May 2021 when she welcomed her first child, albeit, at the time, her revelation was only accompanied by a picture of her cradling the newborn’s feet.
Almost a year later, Campbell opened up about her journey to motherhood in the fashion magazine’s latest issue, claiming only a handful of her inner circle knew she was having a baby.
“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” she said
Interestingly, throughout the interview, Campbell did not mention anything about her pregnancy experience, nor did she make any utterance about the father of the child.
However, the 51-year-old did reiterate that her daughter “wasn’t adopted.”
“She’s my [biological] child,” Campbell revealed.
While the official unveiling of the iconic supermodel’s child was a spectacle, it did leave room for speculation. For one, no pictures exist of Campbell’s prenatal journey. Also, the 51-year-old’s melanin-rich skin tone was, quite interestingly, not transferred to her daughter.
This prompted the rumour mill to speculate about the father of the baby, albeit all claims remain unverified at this juncture.

Campbell has yet to reveal her daughter’s name. In the interview, the 51-year-old confirmed crucial details around her motherhood would be unveiled in a book she plans on releasing in the near future.
“She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking,” Campbell revealed.
