Cassper Nyovest pulled the wool over everyone’s head and dropped Sweet and Short 2.0, on Wednesday.

Piggy-backing off the immense commercial success of Siyathandana, Nyovest saw it as the perfect opportunity to deliver a sequel to the Sweet and Short series on an unconventional Wednesday morning.

But, then again, when has ‘Abuti Fill Up’ ever been orthodox in his moves? On Sweet and Short 2.0, we are met by a Nyovest that’s still good with the hood flava.

He is far removed from the lyrical miracles he unleashed on A.M.N. This version of Nyovi is a yano-ist, but an ‘old head’ of this new genre.

Kind of like how our uncles get to the family get-together and embarrass their wives trying to execute the youngins’ dance moves.

Our favourite tracks on this album are most certainly uMacashelana, Angisho Guys and Ama Number Ayi ’10.
