The epitome of ‘a seat at the table’ is captured in a video that shows the soon-coming MaXhosa store at the V&A Waterfront.
MaXhosa moves to V&A Waterfront
The expansion of Laduma Ngxokolo’s prestigious apparel brand is one part of this amazing story. The other is, in a span of about seven years, this revered fashion designer has built a footprint in the world as Africa’s most authentic high-end brand.
Now, MaXhosa has a stake in the most-expensive isle at the V&A Waterfront, possibly one of the most internationally recognised shopping malls on the continent.
The foot traffic of international travellers and the bourgeoisie will go a long way in elevating the status of MaXhosa as it has thrust itself in the high-end contest with the likes of Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
Of course, this is only when things return to normal and coronavirus-influenced movement restrictions are lifted.
Take a look at the video that unveiled this exciting news:
V&A Waterfront has been trialling a new click-and-collect service offering in a bid to limit the risk of person-to-person contact.
If you drive past Entrance One, on the sea-facing side of the mall, you will see a large bright yellow box called the “drive-through pick-up point”.
With this service, shoppers can place orders at retail stores at the Waterfront and collect them at the kiosk without leaving their cars.
“The easy-to-use service allows customers to place orders online with participating retail stores. They will then receive a notification when the parcel is ready for collection. Customers simply drive up to the brightly coloured kiosk, collect their parcel, and drive away,” the mall noted in a statement seen by IOL News.
This service is live on a trial basis until December 2020 and is just one of the many measures taken by V&A Waterfront to curb the spread of Covid-19.
