Law enforcement authorities from Ravensmead, Western Cape, have released a composite sketch of a wanted rape suspect.
Do you recognise this wanted rape suspect?
Police spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut revealed, in a statement that, all they have to work with right now is the expertly drawn sketch of the wanted male.
Hoping that it may jog a memory, Ravensmead police have released the composite sketch to the public.
“If you recognise the suspect depicted in the attached identikit which was compiled by a facial composition expert, kindly contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 as he is wanted for rape,” Col. Traut noted.
Police release suspect details: He is a ‘high-risk’ fugitive
The unidentified male is wanted in relation to an incident that was reported in Ravensmead, a quiet suburb tucked between the rowdy Parow and Bellville suburbs, in November 2020.
The survivor of the alleged assault recalled to authorities, the atrocities she suffered the fateful night she encountered the suspect.
“The suspect approached his female victim during the early hours of the morning at around 01:00 and dragged her to a bush in Ravensmead where he raped her,” Col. Traut alleged.
The suspect has gone unrecognised for two months, posing a further danger to other women he encounters in the Cape Town North suburb. Anyone who comes across him is encouraged to avoid making contact.
This is a developing story.
