Kylie Jenner did not hold back when responding to claims she broke sanitary protocols while visiting her Kylie Cosmetics lab in Milan, Italy.
Kylie Jenner reacts to Milan lab backlash
As reported by Page Six, the model was quick to respond to a claim made by fellow cosmetic developer Kevin James Bennett for supposedly not following “proper sanitation protocols” during a visit to the Milan lab.
Jenner recently took to Instagram to share a series of pictures of herself promoting the brand and some new products in the works.
“In the lab creating new magic for you guys,” she wrote in the caption.
The post seemingly sparked interest from Bennett, who accused Jenner of breaching sanitation protocols in the lab. Bennett pointed out that Jenner was not seen wearing any protective gear, and it did not stop there. He then slammed the Milan lab for allowing her to stage a misleading photo-op.
The makeup artist took to Instagram to express his dissatisfaction. He wrote, “I need the [lab’s] name because I want to make sure my clients NEVER work with them.”
He continued on to say, “folks, this is not the way we create cosmetics and misrepresents how our industry works. Credible manufacturers follow STRICT sanitation protocols to protect you.”
The 24-year-old quickly caught wind of Bennett’s post and took to the comment section of the post to defend herself. She claimed the photos were not taken in a manufacturing facility. Rather the photos were taken in “a small personal space” where she creates “fun samples.”
“I would never bypass sanitary protocols and neither would any other celeb or beauty brand owner. That’s completely unacceptable, I agree. … no one is putting customers at risk! Shame on you Kevin for spreading false information!!!!” she wrote.
If you think the drama stopped there, think again. Bennett was not happy with Jenner’s response. He went on to note how she was also pictured “without PPE or your hair tied back” while standing next to an industrial mixer.
“Just take responsibility for your mistake and move on,” he wrote back.
Jenner is yet to respond to Bennet’s remark.
This was not Jenner’s first time defending her beauty empire. Just two years after launching Kylie Cosmetics in 2016, she responded to “haters” after the makeup brand received an F grade from the Better Business Bureau due to customer complaints.
