Angela White, renowned globally as Blac Chyna is in pursuit of a $100 million (est. R1.5 billion) lawsuit against the Kardashians and in the first two days of the trial, bombshells were dropped.
Was Blac Chyna blackballed by the Kardashians?
Wednesday’s proceedings at a civil court in Los Angeles will kick off with Chyna giving testimony on what she insists was a concerted effort made by the family’s matriarch Kris Jenner to boot her from the world of reality TV, a move that was partially successful.
Already, the court has been acclimated to Chyna’s break into the industry, credit of which has gone to Drake who discovered the former stripper at an adult club in Miami, Florida.
Chyna met and fell in love with Robert Kardashian in January 2016 and by April of that year, they’d announced their plans to get married. A month after the engagement, Rob and Chyna revealed they were expecting a baby, Dream who, in 2022, is five years old.
By November 2016, the couple had been shacked up in an L.A home and taking advantage of a potentially profit-bearing spin-off, E! Network swooped in and launched the reality TV hit, Rob & Chyna.
However, according to Chyna, at least, the show would only last one season, thanks, allegedly, to Kris and her daughters’ influence in getting the series cancelled, her career on television too, pretty much.
During opening remarks, Chyna’s lawyer Lynne Ciani told the court that text messages showing Kris making false claims about injuries Rob allegedly suffered during a fiery argument on 4 December 2016 will prove that she had concocted the entire ordeal to sabotage Dream’s mom.
Did Kim Kardashian commit bribery?
Moreover, Ciani vowed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the Kardashian sisters, Kim, Kylie and Khloe all played a role in using their influence to drive Chyna off reality TV.
This, Ciani added, is supported by evidence showing how Kim had bribed Chyna with $100 000 (est. R1.5 million) in hush money, at a time when the reality TV star was making $90 000 (est. R1.35 million) per episode.
The trial between Chyna and the Kardashians is expected to conclude next week. From what we understand, Chyna is still pursuing a lawsuit against Rob, and this part of her battle will follow the conclusion of the current case.
