Tik Tok user Henrico Barnard, completely blinded by rage, went on a racist rant that could land him in jail for crimen injuria and destroy all prospects of his future.
Watch: Henrico Barnard goes into anti-black rant
Perhaps, if the shooting that took place at a Muldersdrift loge this past weekend never happened, Barnard’s deep-seeded hatred for black people would have remained bubbling beneath the surface of a facade he’s kept for as long as he’s been alive.
Alas, Len Cloete, a guest at Misty Hills Country Hotel, was shot in the head by police after he’d taunted them with a loaded firearm and brazenly disarmed an officer.
The latest reports on the Muldersdrift lodge shooting came from Cloete’s wife, Chantal, who confirmed that her husband is fighting for his life in a coma.
Moreover, the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has since launched an internal probe to assess the culpability of officers who were tasked with removing the irate couple from the lodge, at the request of management.
The merits of the case did not matter to Barnard, who took to Tik Tok to spew his hate-filled manifesto. In a series of videos, the racist commenter detailed the depths of his loathe for black people, going as far as describing people of colour as parasites who must face the same wrath Adolf Hitler unleashed on jews.
Barnard threatened to kill the first black police officer he encountered and, while casually dropping ‘k-bombs’, vowed to attack a police station.

Will Barnard face criminal charges?
Faced with mounting ire, Barnard surfaced, on Wednesday, with an apology, where he sought sympathy and understanding for acknowledging that the videos were, in fact, cruel.
“Hi everyone, I, Henrico Barnard, want to apologise for the videos that I posted. It was cruel and I do apologise to each and everyone. I hope you find it in your hearts to forgive. I’m going off social media,” he said.
However, it may be a bit too late since the matter has since been escalated. Already, we can confirm that the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has informed its legal team to investigate the racist rant.
Various civic organisations have also called on criminal charges to be instituted against the Tik Tok user. At the time of publishing, Barnard had not been hit with crimes injuria charges.
