The Democratic Alliance (DA) will deliver its alternative State of the Nation Address (SONA 2021) on Monday.
The official opposition’s leader John Steenhuisen warned that no words will be minced when he conveys the DA’s version of SONA.
“South Africans deserve a government that appreciates their hard work, creates an enabling environment and keeps its promises. A credible plan, a strong fight against corruption and bad policy is what our nation needs,” he wrote in a tweet.
South Africans have been badly let down by an incapable state that has neither the ability nor the will to protect lives and livelihoods.

From allegations of looting that was confirmed by the shocking Special Investigating Unit’s report on PPE fraud within state institutions, to the poorly administered vaccine programme, Steenhuisen will provide a critical look at the failed state of the nation.
