It has been five days since Hloniphile Baloyi left her home in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, and still, nobody has heard from her.
Where was Hloniphile Baloyi last seen?
The day before New Year’s Eve, Baloyi, according to her mother Tsakani, left her home at approximately 09:00 saying she was heading to Lakeside Mall, about 27km from her home in Emaphupheni.
This was expected to be a short trip to and from the shopping centre but Tsakani grew increasingly worried when the day dragged on with no signs of her daughter.
Numerous calls were made to the 24-year-old but oddly, they were unsuccessful. It seems, in the blink of an eye, Baloyi had vanished from the face of the earth.
Baloyi’s mother searched frantically for her daughter and when all options were exhausted, she approached the police to file a missing person case.
However, Tsakani was reportedly turned away from the police station and told to return on Monday.
