Bianca Schoombee is responsible for her own demise. It is the kind of character suicide performed by people who usually don’t think before they act.
Bianca Schoombee dashes her Miss SA dreams with old tweets
There isn’t much information available on Bianca Schoombee but a quick squizz down her Twitter timeline tells us that she has hopes for entering this year’s Miss South Africa (Miss SA 2020) beauty pageant.
Entries for this year’s contest have been relaxed, partly due to the restrictions forced by the global coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic as well as the organisation’s rebrand.
With entries still open for the remainder of May, ladies from all corners of South Africa have been flocking to social media to drum up support for their campaigns.
Schoombee was one of those ladies. A pretty face to look at, with a striking resemblance to the late Reeva Steenkamp, people thought it would be smart to do a little bit of digging on the pageant’s background.
Low and behold, the last thing anyone expected to find was derogatory tweets targeted at black people. She also had some words for obese people and on occasion, she would throw in the N-word for spice.
Suffice it to say, her career aspirations in pageantry has come to a virtual end, before it even kicked off and if history has taught us anything, it’s that South Africa has a special way of dealing with bigots.
This is the statement she released in light of everything that went down on Tuesday evening.
