Benzema, who will be instrumental in Real Madrid’s claw-back bid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final fixture against Manchester City on Tuesday, joined Muslims around the world in celebration of the 30th day of Ramadan.
Otherwise renowned as Eid al-Fitr, Monday 2 May 2022 marked the end of the month-long fasting period, where observers of the Muslim religion went without eating from morning prayer until sunset.
The 30-day fast is a ritual performed to strengthen one’s relationship with Allah, or God.
