Jub Jub has somehow become the beacon of South African entertainment and it seems like the reformed rapper-turned-media-mogul has more content in store for us.
Watch: Jub Jub draws ire for destroying alcohol in viral video
Social media has been abuzz about the latest stunt from Jub Jub. The 39-year-old was seen destroying quarts of beer in a video that has since gone viral.
However, no one seems to know why, at this time. The 39-year-old has played along with the mystery surrounding the bizarre clip, telling us to “stay tuned”.
This was not reciprocated by many, though.
Is he the new king of Mzansi reality TV?
For the most part, society has forgiven the Uyajola 9/9 host for his past transgressions. Since his release from prison in 2017, the 39-year-old has proved to be an asset to Mzansi entertainment.
Following a stint in the Gospel genre, where he used the platform to speak out about his culpable homicide case, the 39-year-old turned to reality TV and boy, did he strike gold.
Shows like Uyajola9/9 (a local version of Cheaters USA) made him one of the most talked-about brands in South Africa, in 2019.
He had even scored a deal to produce a reality TV series that delved into Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s fiery relationship. However, a leaked clip that teased the scale of domestic violence we’d witness in such a show scuppered that opportunity.
In fact, it was Mampintsha who obtained a court interdict to prevent Moja Love TV from airing the series which was titled, Impilo.
In the court documents, posted by Mampintsha on Instagram, it is stated that the decision to block the airing of the show in the 11th hour came when the Multichoice channel refused to grant them rights to edit certain parts of the recordings.
The 39-year-old never furnished a response to the controversy and thus, Mzansi’s realm of reality TV was robbed of a series high in shock value.
