The video, originally published on his YouTube channel on 11 March 2010 under the title “Kill all black people,” shows Gouws making shocking statements:
“Kill the f**ing k*ffirs, kill all the fing n*ggers. That’s all I gotta f*ing say. Kill all the k*ffirs! Kill all the fing n*ggers!”
This video was deleted but later retrieved from the Internet Archive and has been verified as legitimate by open-source analyst Andrew Fraser, who stated that it is highly unlikely to be AI-generated due to its 2011 archival date.
Gouws denied making the video, claiming,
“I have no recollection at all of making a video with such vile language and if one exists, it could be AI-generated.”
He argued that it might be part of a smear campaign, asserting, “Whether this was an old video manipulated to use those words the same way my previous videos have been manipulated and audio synched to say things I never said.”
However, the video’s existence on the Internet Archive casts doubt on his claims.

Gouws MP career on the ropes
Gouws’ political career, which began promisingly when he was sworn in as a DA MP last Friday, is now under threat.
The DA, including federal chairperson Helen Zille, is investigating the video’s veracity.
Zille stated:
“I have contacted Renaldo. He says he has no recollection at all of making a video with such vile language and says if one exists, it could be AI generated. I am sending it for testing”
The backlash against Gouws intensified after the video resurfaced.
An online petition calling for his removal from Parliament has garnered nearly 50,000 signatures.
This controversy follows Gouws’ previous incidents of racial and homophobic remarks, further damaging his reputation and testing the DA’s commitment to him amidst a sensitive political climate
Gayton McKenzie speaks out on Renaldo Gouws ‘k-word’ video
Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie also weighed in on the controversy.
Initially defending Gouws, McKenzie later retracted his support, stating:
“I was wrong about [Renaldo Gouws] and would like to apologise, someone very close to him confirmed that he hates Black people still and send us his racist video. I apologise again for coming up for him. I should have kept my ideas of redemption to people that are truly remorseful”
Gouws has continued to deny the authenticity of the video, asserting that there is a smear campaign against him. However, with increasing pressure from both the public and political figures, his position remains precarious.
