The 69th Miss Universe beauty pageant takes place on Saturday and already, South Africa’s queen Natasha Joubert has put her best foot forward at the preliminary rounds.
Joubert was one of 74 women from all corners of the world, who strutted along the runway at the national costume and preliminary show held in Florida, on Friday.

These two crucial rounds determine the Top 21 that will feature at the Miss Universe main event and Joubert’s intentions are clear, based on her showing on the evening.

2021 Miss Universe: How to watch in South Africa
The entire nation will be rooting for Joubert in her attempt to bring the Miss Universe crown home for another year. Her social activism, the humility she exudes and her striking beauty is a great advantage. What a memory it would be to witness Zozibini Tunzi place the coveted pageant crown on the head of her good friend and fellow compatriot.
The main event takes place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, in Florida, on Saturday 16 May, from 20:00. DStv will simulcast the show in real-time, and therefore, in South Africa, viewers can tune in live on 1Magic (channel 103) from 02:00 on Sunday.
