There is no such thing as the 1% factor in the life of Jeff Bezos, the man who’s on track to become the world’s first-ever trillionaire.
The data that predicts Jeff Bezos will be the world’s first trillionaire
Men lie, and women do too but according to Comparisun, numbers don’t. Based on calculations computed by the data collection firm, Jeff Bezos, who owns Amazon and other corporations, is likely to become the world’s first-ever trillionaire in six years.
“Despite losing an estimated $38 billion as part of his recent divorce, Jeff Bezos is still by far the world’s richest person and his net worth has grown by 34% on average over the last five years, which could potentially see him become the world’s first trillionaire as early as 2026, at which point he’ll be aged 62,” Comparisun claims.
To offer a realistic projection, the data analyst company uses recent rates of wealth growth to peep into what the future looks like for the world’s richest people.
Three dollar-billionaires that will be trillionaires by 2030
Coming in very closely behind Bezos is Xu Jiayin, China’s real estate superpower who, according to data, could be 68 years old when he becomes the world’s second trillionaire, a year after Bezos.
eCommerce magnate Jack Ma comes in third place and could be 65 years old when he gets to his trillionaire status in 2030.
It is hard to imagine how any of this could be possible at a time when the global economy has taken a serious knock, thanks to the growing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Mark Zuckerberg could become the world’s youngest trillionaire
Alas, Mark Zuckerberg won’t be a trillionaire for at least the better part of the next decade. However, when he does eventually become one, the seventh person in history according to the cited data firm, he will be immortalised as the youngest trillionaire when he reaches the status in 2035 at the age of 51, 11 years younger than Bezos.
However fallible this may be, it is quite remarkable for the young lad. This is not an exact science and the figures could be held to scrutiny but it sure does make for an interesting read.
Social media has been in an uproar since the speculation about Bezos came out and these were some of the wild reactions we picked up:
