Edenglen High School has come under the spotlight after a video was posted on social media, showing pupils from the institution embroiled in a nasty street brawl.

Details around what prompted the royal rumble are still unclear at this stage.
In taking a closer look at the footage, we can verify that there were at least two groups of boys involved in the fight.
A group of girls from the school were amused by the display and recorded the whole thing. At this time, we were unable to verify the latest condition of the pupils who suffered the scale of clobbering we saw in the video.
Gauteng education MEC to visit school
The viral clip soon took off like wild fire after it surfaced on social media, and reached the Gauteng Education Department office.
The province’s education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, quickly issued a short statement on the matter, confirming that he is going to pay the school a visit on Wednesday, to ascertain the school’s policy on this kind of behaviour.
Of course, there is no way the school is complicit in the incident since the brawl took place outside of the school premises.

Moreover, in the clip, some of the pupils were not dressed in school uniform, which opens the possibility that those involved in the brawl may not have been all from Edenglen High School.
