A woman from Durban took to social media as a final resort in her desperate search for her custom, one-of-one, wedding dress that was stolen from her home in December 2021.
Durban woman needs help finding stolen wedding dress
Michelle Lukan has been married to her husband Chris since 2019, and while they were away on holiday this past festive season, their home in Essenwood, Durban, was burgled.
One of the precious possessions the home invaders took was Lukan’s wedding dress. As reported by News24, investigations into the burglary suggest the couple’s home could must have been robbed on Christmas Eve since, Lukan’s neighbour recalled hearing suspicious noises coming from the property around that time.
However, the house robbery was only discovered on 30 December 2021, when the couple had returned from their holiday.
In a last ditch attempt at finding her custom-made wedding dress, Lukan turned to social media “on the off chance that someone somewhere might have seen it.”
“It’s a full length beaded dress with lace and beading on the top. It had a tulle half skirt that went over that had the same lace and beading detail around the waist,” she wrote.
Anyone with information on the wedding dress is encouraged to contact Lukan on Facebook and Instagram.
