“It just isn’t fair,” were the words Caitlyn Jenner uttered in response to the ongoing debate on the inclusion of transgender women in female sports, in US schools.
Caitlyn Jenner faces backlash for deserting trans women
At a time when the inclusion of the LGBTQA+ community in society is part of global discourse, Jenner stood opposed to her core support group on the topic of trans women competing against biological females in school sports.
“This is a question of fairness. That’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school. It just isn’t fair,” the 71-year-old told TMZ.
In her former life as Bruce, father of Kendall and Kylie, Jenner had a stellar career as a decathlete who won a gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, Canada, with a then-record score of 8 618 points.
Decades later, confronted with the opportunity to support the LGBTQA+ community that was, for the most part, there for her in her transition in 2015, Jenner — it seems — used her influential voice to kill the dreams of many US pupils who dream of competing in sports with the gender they identify as.
These were some of the reactions from social media, after Jenner’s comments were made public:
"I also want to acknowledge all the young trans athletes who are out there given the chance to play sports as who they really are."

Caitlyn Jenner cannot be anti-trans, because (as any scholar will tell you) never in human history has a member of a minoritized or persecuted group turned against their own community in service to their own personal gain.

Caitlyn Jenner doesn’t represent trans people. She doesn’t even represent cis views on trans issues, considering 68% polled are against laws banning trans girls from sports.

She represents no one but herself, power hungry, ready to step on other trans people for political gain.
Caitlyn Jenner is no friend of the LGBTQ community. Don't call her an actvist. She's a menace.

Caitlyn Jenner didn’t show any remorse for the person she ran over with her car so I suppose it’s not surprising that she’d be willing to throw a generation of trans teenagers under the bus for a shot at more money and fame.
