DJ Black Coffee, much like the rest of Mzansi, was left in stitches when he came across the viral video clip of the school children’s reenactment of the flashy Konka lifestyle.
School kids go viral with hilarious Konka reenactment
The Gauteng nightclub, infamous for its selection of bottle ladies and synonymous with black excellence, is renowned on social media as a classist’s paradise. It’s all about showing up and showing out, and a night at Konka is never truly experienced unless there is a constant rotation of hookah and bottle servers.
This is the inspiration that these school children took in producing their viral video clip.
In a hilarious twist, the kids used paper to make nails and handbags, The girlies put a strut in their step and made sure to channel, in every way possible, actual scenes at club entrances where women pile up with their smartphones out, repurposing everything they encounter on social media.
The boys, on the other hand, assumed their role around a make-shift hookah as bottle servers lined up to deliver their paper-made-but-expensive champagne.
Here is how Black Coffee reacted
Of course, what would a night at Konka be without the man himself, Black Coffee, doing what he does best on the turntables, with, as usual, one of his hands lodged in his pocket.
The video racked up hundreds of thousands of views, even reaching Coffee who tweeted this reaction:
