Amanda Marie Keshner was dealt swift karma after she tried to get two Home Depot employees fired over a racist-fuelled rant she caught on camera.
What happened to Amanda Marie Keshner at Home Depot?
The viral social media influencer renowned as ‘artvangrow’ essentially snitched on herself in an attempt to create misplaced outrage against two Home Depot employees, one of whom was a gay man and the other a foreign national.
In the video clip she posted and deleted, Keshner was seen in a quarrel with the employees who were ushering her out of the store for her erratic behaviour.
It remains unclear why the influencer, whose main Instagram account with more than 14 000 followers has since vanished, was chucked out of Home Depot. However, in a video clip she recorded after the scuffle, Keshner admitted to not only using homophobic slurs, but she candidly revealed that she told one of the employees to go back to their country.
“I said, ‘I’m not leaving.’ … I then turned around and said, ‘If you’re going to be rude, go back to your country. Go back to your country!’ ‘Cause he wasn’t from here. So I turn around, and I say, ‘Go back to your motherf****** country and learn some f****** manners before you come here,'” she said.
Her explanation for using a homophobic slur? Well, in her opinion, back in her hometown, New York, US, the word f** is commonly used and supposedly, it’s not offensive.
Here are the viral videos Keshner posted before she received a heap of backlash.
Not only did Keshner epically fail to garner support for her erratic behaviour, but her attempts to get the two employees fired were not successful. Home Depot, in response to the furore, confirmed that the two workers were still employed.
“They should have never been put in this position,” the store tweeted.
Here are some of the reactions to Keshner’s race-fuelled meltdown.
