At the height of a COVID-19 pandemic that’s obliterated the travel and accommodation industry, FlySafair and Tripco have partnered to bring an all-in-one solution to local getaways.
What is FlySafair Holidays?
Interprovincial travel is still an option for road rangers and discovery enthusiasts. As a means of bridging costs in a market that’s tanked, the low-cost airline has partnered with the local tech company that birthed the accommodation booking platform LekkeSlaap to offer packaged holidays for South Africans.
The FlySafair Holidays landing page allows users to book budget flight tickets and accommodation in a single journey, cutting costs and unnecessary steps in planning a trip.
Users get an opportunity to choose between budget and luxury packages with flexible filters and detailed information on available accommodation and amenities.
For FlySafair Chief Marketing Officer Kirby Gordon, this new venture poses itself as “great value for money.”
“While we see this venture as an opportunity to diversify our income stream in a small way, it’s also a step towards more collaboration in the travel industry to aid its recovery,” Gordon noted in a statement.
Currently, FlySafair Holidays is available to travellers who want to go on holiday in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Gqeberha, East London and George.
