It’s been a frustrating Wednesday for gamers worldwide who’ve been met with connection problems to the PlayStation Network.

Console owners rushed to social media and forums to find out if connection problems experienced on Wednesday morning were not isolated incidents. As it turns out, while gamers were able to log into their respective profiles and see their full inventory, they reported not being able to launch games.

Speculation around the outage was further strengthened by a recent report from Down Detector. According to the software tracker, “user reports indicate problems at PlayStation Network.”
Based on Down Detector chart data on PSN’s activity in the past 24 hours, it seems outage reports started around 17:22 on Wednesday , 66% of which were server connection errors.
PlayStation has made no public statements about the reported outage, at this time.
In situations like this, users are generally encouraged to clear cache and restart their consoles.
