On Sunday, e-footy fans got a first-time glimpse into everything in store for the much-anticipated FIFA 22 release.

Electronic Arts (EA) premiered the 2022 update of the classic football game, with French striker Kylian Mbappe returning as the cover star for the second time in a row, a feat only ever achieved by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney.

EA Sports has confirmed the release date for FIFA 22 and this year’s version drops on Friday 1 October 2021.
At this time, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about the cost of this new version. Although, historically, FIFA games often range between R999 and R1599 for the base version.
From what we understand, the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
