Up-and-coming rapper Yeat is ready to release his new ‘LYFË ‘EP. The 22-year-old took to Instagram to reveal that he is nearly finished with some of his new music including an eight-track EP. He also teased fans with some of the track list and a release date on his Instagram story.
“I’m almost done,” he wrote. “Next month??”
Who is featured on the ‘LYFE’ EP?
Fans quickly pointed out the presence of two guest features from Lil Uzi Vert on the new ‘LYFE’ EP . Yeat and Uzi have a history of chemistry as the pair collaborated on Big Tonka and 3G from Yeat’s 2 Alivë album.
Other famous artists who appeared on 2 Alivë included Gunna, Young Thug, Ken Car$on, Septembers Rich, and Lancey Foux. The album’s debut sold about 35,000 album-equivalent units in the first week and went on to debut at No. 6 on Billboard’s 200 chart.
Yeat embarked on his album tour in April. He started off in Detroit and toured in cities like Denver, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and San Francisco before closing things out in Los Angeles at The Fonda.
Why is everyone looking forward to Yeat’s new EP?
Yeat’s time in the spotlight is beginning to gain widespread acclaim. His song Turban was featured in a Nike commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods in May. The company revealed it can be connected to anyone’s Nike’s membership to unlock exclusive rewards and other benefits.
This feature sparked some controversy and confusion behind Nike’s choice due to Yeat’s penchant for rapping about drugs.
Drake is another strong supporter behind the Portland rapper. The two were spotted last year together in Houston. Drake also showed the rapper some love when he gifted Yeast with a pair of Nike Nocta’s in March.
