Former Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green experienced a greater crowning ceremony this past weekend, when she officially got married to her husband Ze Nxumalo.

It was a colourful affair at the couple’s umembeso ceremony. Renowned influencers and celebrities attended the hybrid wedding and were left with butterflies swarming in their tummies when Green appeared in her two outfits of the day.
The first was a red dress designed by fellow Miss South Africa 2020 Natasha Joubert.
For the Zulu traditional part of the wedding, Green and her hubby stepped out in customary attire. Nxumalo donned a skirt and scarf made from the skin of a leopard for the traditional performance part of the affair and later changed to a white buttoned short-sleeve shirt with a blue collar.
Green, on the other hand, joined the traditional ceremony dressed in a blue custom-made, off-the-shoulder dress with a beaded isicholo (a Zulu hat worn by newly-wedded women).
What we know about Green and Nxumalo
Before the glitz and glam of the couple’s wedding, not much was known about Green and Nxumalo. From what we understand, Green announced her relationship with the Johannesburg businessman back in October 2018 but the couple would not be publicly official until they showed up together at the 2019 Style Awards.
The couple’s private relationship was disrupted when Nxumalo took the knee and popped the question in April 2021.
Lobola was paid for two months later and by October, the couple had exchanged vows.
