All eyes were honed in on MacG, on Monday, in their latest episode of Podcast and Chill where a response to accusations made by actress Amanda Du-Pont was anticipated.
MacG responds to Amanda Du-Pont
It’s been a torrent week on social media for the podcast crew since the former Skeem Saam actress published her 17-minute-long tell-all, where she accused rapper and suspended Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub of sexual assault and attempted murder.
In her response to Jub Jub’s interview on the podcast, Du-Pont also questioned MacG’s role in promoting the derogatory things that were said about her.
“MacG, you find gratification of not verifying facts for your own personal gain and financial standing, when you could potentially be destroying people emotionally, not knowing what they have been through. I urge any woman who has been abuse or raped by both MacG or Molemo [Maarohanye] to come forward,” she said.
Du-Pont went on to stress that it takes “an abuser and someone who condones gender-based violence to conduct an interview like this.”
In response, the podcaster unreservedly refuted any and all claims of rape made against him. He and his co-hosts doubled down on their conduct in the Jub Jub interview and made it abundantly clear that the platform was not a place where ‘puppetry’ was condoned.
MacG, on the other hand, revealed that he had to convince his mother, who had heard the news about Du-Pont’s claims, that he was not a rapist.

Jub Jub also surfaced on Monday with a public apology to Du-Pont. The rapper, however, confirmed that regarding her gob-smacking allegations, he has taken the matter up with the courts.
“It was inappropriate for me to discuss the intimate details of my relationship with Ms Du-Pont in public. I deeply regret the incident.
“With regard to the accusations levelled against me by Amanda and others I have decided to make room for the law to take its course and I request that the media and the public doe the same,” he said
