Thembinkosi Lorch has sent the rumour mill into overdrive after he denied having knowledge of a girlfriend named ‘Natasha’, during an Instagram Live chat with DJ Maphorisa.
Of course, in the context of the chat you will see below, the two gentlemen were referring to actress Natasha Thahane.
The pair was recently spotted in Zanzibar and while they weren’t pictured together at the island resort, images posted on their respective social media pages suggest that this may have been a couples trip.

In an IG Live chat Lorch had with Maphorisa, the gents touched on a number of interesting topics. An audience of more than 7 000 fans listened in as Lorch and Phori lamented on the impact of the Level 4 lockdown restrictions, talked about ‘tricking’ on girlfriends and even rumbled about general blabber.

However, things got interesting when Phori probed the Orlando Pirates winger about his relationship status with Thahane and his response sent social media into a frenzy.

Are Lorch and Thahane an item?
From the surface, it seems that social media sherlocks may have read too much into the sizzling vacation pics the pair posted on their respective pages.
However, certain clues note by fans from recent pictures the pair have posted seem to suggest that at the very least, Lorch — who’s been accused of abuse by former girlfriend Nokuphiwa Mathithibala — and Thahane have been at the same place, at the same time, on more than one occasion.

Furthermore, a source who spoke in anonymity with The Citizen confirmed that as far as it’s known, the pair are good friends.
“He went to Zanzibar because he wanted to unwind and take his mind off football for some time. As I said, from what I know, they are friends. But, maybe they have taken their friendship to the next level, you should ask him,” the source claimed.
Right now, Lorch and Thahane are keeping whatever they have going on a secret.
