US pop star Jason Derulo could face legal trouble over his recent fisticuffs with two hecklers in Las Vegas.
What prompted the Jason Derulo fight?
Clips of the incident that took place at the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel surfaced on Tuesday and the bits of information that’s trickled in thus far suggests Derulo may have reacted in rage to two male hecklers who mistook him for his peer and R&B veteran Usher Raymond.
In the viral clip, the Acapulco star was pacing towards the exit when a male voice was heard shouting, “hey, Usher, f*** you, b***!”
It remains unclear what triggered Derulo since he was clearly misidentified, but the singer did not take a split second to process what was happening. Immediately, Derulo turned around and charged at the unidentified man, clobbering him to the floor.
There was very little security guards and his team could do to prevent the smackdown, Derulo, whose athletic build affords him a great deal of strength, was blinded by rage.
A second male, who was near the vicinity of the pummelling didn’t seem to have taken the cue from his pal’s beating. When he added salt to the wound, he too was attacked by the singer.
From what we understand, security officials managed to diffuse the situation and Derulo, who was on his way out anyway, was handed a trespassing notice and evicted from the hotel.
The two victims, we understand, sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. As things stand, neither of the hecklers has filed charges against Derulo.
