South Africa celebrates 27 years of democracy on this Freedom Day and as usual, the three biggest political parties will host rallies where the plight of our struggle will be used as propaganda to fuel self-serving goals.
Government sets theme for Freedom Day 2021
On Tuesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa will oversee the official opening of the Charlotte Maxeke Treatment Centre, in Botshabelo, Free State.
This event, which falls in line with the overarching Freedom Day theme ‘The year of Charlotte Maxeke: The meaning of freedom under COVID-19‘, will pre-empt the president’s national address which will be broadcast on every news channel.
