Impact-Based Warnings:

  • Orange Level 5 Warning: Disruptive rain leading to flooding of roads, bridges, and settlements, potential damage to property and infrastructure, and danger to life is expected over Gauteng, northern and coastal regions of KwaZulu-Natal, extreme south-eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, eastern parts of Free State and North West, as well as the south-western parts of Mpumalanga.
  • Yellow Level 2 Warning: Disruptive rain causing localised flooding of susceptible bridges, roads, and settlements, with possible damage to property and infrastructure, is anticipated over central and eastern parts of the Free State and North West, western Bushveld of Limpopo, central and south-western parts of Mpumalanga, as well as the extreme eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
  • Yellow Level 1 Warning: Damaging winds resulting in navigation difficulties, dragging anchors, and small vessels taking on water are expected between Cape St. Francis and Gansbaai.

Fire Danger Warnings:

  • Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Western Cape, including the Garden Route and adjacent interior regions.
