Eastern Cape
In the west, cloudy with morning fog in places, becoming partly cloudy and warm but fine in the northeast. Light south-westerly wind along the coast, becoming moderate south-easterly by afternoon. In the east, cloudy and cool to warm with rain south of the escarpment. Partly cloudy north of the escarpment with isolated thunderstorms along the Lesotho border. Moderate south-westerly wind along the coast, becoming moderate south-easterly by afternoon.
Free State
Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the northeast.
Gauteng
Partly cloudy and warm, with hot conditions in the extreme north. Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected. The UVB sunburn index is high.
KwaZulu-Natal
Cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west. Moderate northerly to north-easterly wind along the coast north of Durban, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly. The UVB sunburn index is high.
Limpopo
Partly cloudy and warm to hot. Isolated showers and thundershowers are likely in the south-west during the evening.
Mpumalanga
Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy in the east in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers.
North West
Fine and hot to very hot conditions, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape
Fine and warm to hot, but very hot in the south-east. Partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east, where it will be extremely hot. Moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly wind along the coast, strong in the afternoon.
Western Cape
Partly cloudy in the south, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but hot to very hot over the interior. Strong southerly to south-easterly wind along the coast, light to moderate easterly to south-easterly along the south coast in the morning. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
