Eastern Cape
In the west, the forecast predicts cloudy and cool weather with scattered showers and widespread rain along the coast and adjacent interior. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.
In the east, the day will be partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers in the far north, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered showers and widespread rain along the coast and adjacent interior. Coastal winds will be moderate south-westerly, becoming fresh southerly in the afternoon.
Free State
Fog is expected in the extreme east during the morning, followed by partly cloudy, windy, and hot weather with isolated showers and thundershowers. The extreme south-west will have scattered showers, particularly in the extreme east.
Gauteng
The region will be partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, turning hot in the north. The UVB sunburn index will be extreme.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog is expected in interior areas, followed by partly cloudy and warm to hot weather with scattered showers and thundershowers. Coastal winds will be moderate north-easterly in the north, shifting to moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly elsewhere. The UVB sunburn index is low.
Limpopo
The weather will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with scattered showers and thundershowers, although isolated in the north and east, excluding the Limpopo Valley.
Mpumalanga
Expect partly cloudy skies with warm to hot temperatures and scattered showers and thundershowers, isolated over the Bushbuckridge.
North West
The morning will be fine, later turning partly cloudy, windy, and hot with isolated to scattered thundershowers, especially in the east. The west will experience very hot temperatures.
Northern Cape
The day will start with morning fog in the extreme southeast, then turning partly cloudy, windy, and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east and south. Coastal winds will be south-westerly, becoming fresh south-easterly along the south and south-west coast from mid-day.
Western Cape
The west will be partly cloudy; elsewhere, expect cloudy and cool to warm weather with isolated to scattered showers and rain, widespread along the south coast. Coastal winds will be southerly to south-easterly, strong along the south-west coast. The UVB sunburn index is rated as extreme.
