New developments have surfaced in the murder investigation of Philadephia rapper PnB Rock, following the arrest of a 17-year-old male.
Who murdered PnB Rock?
As reported by TMZ, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives have already made a break in the homicide investigation, two weeks after PnB Rock was gunned down inside a Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles eatery in southside LA.
From what we understand, the suspect identified as the shooter is a 17-year-old male. While his identity has yet to be unveiled, police have released an all-points bulletin on his father, Freddie Lee Trone.
LAPD detectives have reason to believe Trone was allegedly in the getaway vehicle when his son pulled off the daring robbery inside the popular eatery.

Moreover, Trone’s wife, Shantel, who is the stepmother of the 17-year-old alleged killer, was also arrested and charged with accessory to murder.
At this time, no further information has surfaced on Shantel’s involvement in the murder of PnB Rock. From what we understand, however, it seems Trone and his wife may have played a vital role in destroying evidence, like torching the getaway vehicle that was used in the commission of a deadly crime.
Stephanie Sibounheuang vindicated
Until Wednesday, Stephanie Sibounheuang was still chastised as the person guilty of PnB Rock’s death. All sorts of conspiracy theories were lodged against the mother of Rock’s daughter.
It was said that she may have unknowingly exposed the rapper to danger when she posted their location on Instagram. A small faction of internet detectives went as far as drumming up wild claims of her likely involvement in Rock’s death, considering a few days before he was killed, the couple had gone through a rough patch.
Turns out, Sibounheuang’s social media post may have had nothing to do with the fate her boyfriend met. According to the LAPD, evidence collected thus far suggests Trone and his son were already stationed at the parking lot when the rapper pulled up to Roscoe’s.
It seems, as fate would have it, PnB Rock unknowingly walked into a trap and his girlfriend, if anything, is fortunate to be still alive. Celebrities such as Cardi B have already spoken out in support of Sibounheuang following Wednesday’s developments.
