Paris Jackson, daughter of the late pop star icon Michael Jackson, joined Willow Smith on her Red Table Takeover, for a candid conversation about everything, from their shared experiences as celeb offsprings to mental health and audio hallucinations.
Paris Jackson on Red Table Talk
For the first time, the world got an in-depth peek into what life was like growing up under the wing of, perhaps, the most famous man to ever grace this earth.
Jackson, now a 23-year-old adolescent, is carving out her own life which she intends to steer away from the limelight she was raised in.
Turns out, as 20-year-old Smith agreed, being the child of celebrity star is not all that glamourous.
“It was like ‘OK, OK, OK I’ve tried so many times (to attempt suicide) maybe it’s just not my time’ and that sucks. It was just the radical acceptation of when it’s my time, it’s my time and I’ll wait it out until then and during that waiting time I’ve found just more and more joys in life and more ways to cope,” Jackson said.
While Jackson admitted that music saved her life, the Let Down songstress revealed that she still experiences “audio hallucinations sometimes of camera clicks and severe paranoia.”
