Ne-Yo has released a public statement after his wife, Crystal Renay, accused the singer of cheating on her for eight years.

The 42-year-old took to Twitter to respond to those allegations brought against him by his wife, Crystal. The Do You singer asked for privacy for his family after his wife and mother of their three children, accused him of cheating on her throughout their relationship.
Ne-Yo’s response comes a day after the 36-year-old shared a devastating Instagram post about his alleged infidelity on 30 July 2022.
“[Eight] years of lies and deception. [Eight] years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them. To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is happening it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”
The model, who shares three children with the singer, said she was “heartbroken and disgusted”. She also requested that fans stop sending her videos and information about her husband’s extramarital affairs because what he does is no longer her concern.
She continued on to say “I am not a victim. I’m choosing to stand tall with my head held high. If someone can’t love you the way you deserve then it’s up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best.”
Crystal penned her post just three months after she and Ne-Yo renewed their wedding vows in an extravagant ceremony following past hiccups in their marriage and a brief breakup in 2020.
Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay’s relationship timeline
The two have most definitely had their fair share of ups and downs. Ne-Yo and Renay first met in 2015. Ne-Yo was working on his studio album, Non-Fiction, when she auditioned for one of his music videos.
What started out as a strictly professional relationship soon turned into something more. Less than a year of dating, Ne-Yo announced their engagement and Renay’s first pregnancy in August 2015.
The couple tied the knot on 20 February 2016 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. A month after they said “I do,” their first son, Shaffer Chimere, was born. In June 2018, they welcomed a second son, Roman.
In February 2020, the two called it quits. The Sexy Love vocalist announced their split after four years of marriage during a podcast appearance on an episode of Private Talk with Alexis Texas. He initially filed for divorce in March but quickly withdrew the papers in April.
The pair announced that they reconciled in June 2020, shortly before revealing Renay was pregnant with baby number three, Isabella. Ne-Yo said that the pandemic actually saved his marriage. Almost two years later, in April 2022, the couple renewed their vows in Las Vegas.
