Megan Thee Stallion has been on a social media tirade targeted at her ‘opps’ recently, and on Wednesday, the Houston Hottie publicly challenged controversial journalist DJ Akademiks on the merits of her court case against Tory Lanez.

The WAP collaborator took to social media to blast the New York-based microblogger for falsifying information related to a statement made by Lanez’ attorney in court, regarding the outcome of DNA examination of the firearm that was allegedly used to shoot Megan in the foot, in July 2020.
According to Akademiks, the Toronto rapper’s lawyers told the court that DNA results from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) would, most probably, exonerate Lanez from accusations made by Megan that it was he who pulled the trigger.
Megan, in response to the claim, lambasted Akademiks for allegedly colluding with Lanez to leak sensitive information only known to the District Attorney handling the case, and the Say It rapper.
“Why would you post there was no DNA FOUND but now saying it’s inconclusive??? How are YOU specifically able to see documents before they come out in court?? What you saying is his lawyer sharing evidence with bloggers? Got it. Take yo big ass on somewhere,” Meg exclaimed.
Was Megan lying? – Here’s what the DNA debacle means
Rolling Stone senior reporter Nancy Dillon obtained transcripts from Wednesday’s court proceedings that provided clarity on what was actually said by Lanez’ attorneys.
From what we understand, the defendants’ lawyers only informed the court that they’ve obtained the services of a DNA expert who will provide an educated opinion on the LAPD’s DNA results.
“The precise nature of the LAPD analysis and its results were not disclosed or described. There is a discovery protective order on this case, so it’s not public,” Dillon added.
Therefore, the only people with knowledge of the DNA results from the firearm examination are the two legal teams embroiled in the shooting case.
According to Meg, who doubled-down in a series of Instagram Story posts, out of the four occupants in the SUV that left Kylie Jenner’s party that morning, it was Lanez who not only held the weapon, but pointed it at her foot and allegedly pulled the trigger.
The Houston Hottie went as far as leaking a string of text messages sent by Lanez following the incident, where he pleaded for an apology for something that “should have never happened.”
“I can’t change what I did. I just feel horrible,” he wrote.
Lanez, in response to the text exchange leak, claimed Megan spun the narrative to substantiate her accusations when, in fact, his pleas for forgiveness were related to his alleged infidelity with Kelsey Nicole, Meg’s former long-time friend who was also in the vehicle that morning.
The determination of what exactly happened in Hollywood Hills that morning rests on the DNA evidence obtained by the LAPD, among other pieces of evidence.
Was DJ Akademiks lying? From our observation, the answer is, no. However, the controversial microblogger may have made inferences against Megan in the manner in which he reported on what was said in court.
Lanez’ team suggests the LAPD’s DNA examinations are inconclusive. This means that forensic testing can neither prove, without a reasonable doubt, nor discount Lanez as the person who fired the weapon.
Of course, all of this and more will come to a head when the shooting trial commences on 5 April 2022.
